I may never eat a peach again...

Earlier this week my mom mentioned that their peach tree was overflowing with peaches so she wondered if I wanted to come over and help her do some peach jam after work one afternoon. We decided on Thursday and so Brady and I headed to Tremonton after work. We got there about 4:30 and Brady started picking the peaches off the tree. As my mom and I were getting everything ready to go, I went to turn on the kitchen faucet and no water came out...we soon find out that my dad and brother have discovered a water leak out in the yard and have turned the water off to fix it. SO here we are ready to go and now we have no water. Done canning peaches tonight! We head out side to at least get all the peaches picked off the tree. It takes about and hour and four, yes I said FOUR full laundry baskets to get them all.

Here is Brady getting the really high ones on the tree because he is the tallest person in the family. My mom and I decide to do the canning Saturday so I plan on coming over super early(getting up at 6am on Saturday, not so much my fav.) and get it done. Well in about 5 hours we ended up with 32 jars of jam and have only gone through about HALF a laundry basket of the little buggers. Luckily, I am done and the rest is up to my mom...poor woman. BUT it was a fun day and I loved spending five hours talking to my mom. We had a blast!!!

Here we are after jar #1! Woo hoo!

And here I am sitting on the floor after hour four.

Hopefully we can do it again next year!
